Obama...better from afar?

In 2008 President Obama campaigned on the promise that he would restore a favourable perception of the United States with people around the world.  So what do the Danes think of our Blazing Saddles President (see earlier post Blazing Saddles President 12/16/11) ..?

But maybe he just does better with America's oldest ally...Great Britain?

No, sorry, in December 2011, after the British embassy in Iran was attacked, Obama expressed concern about the "English embassy" even though there has not been one in over 400 years or so.  http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2068137/President-Obama-blunders-condemns-attack-English-Embassy-Tehran.html

H.L. Mencken said, "Every decent man is ashamed of the government he lives under."  Every decent Russian is ashamed of the Putin government.  Every decent Italian was ashamed of the Berlusconi government they lived under.  Every decent Frenchman is ashamed of the Sarkozy government though anxious about their likely socialist replacement too.  Every decent Iranian is ashamed of Ahmadinejad's government.  Now every decent American is ashamed of the Obama administration.

Maybe it is time to restore America's place in the world with a new president in 2012 of whom we will be less ashamed?
